Christmas is coming, but the real meaning of that date is not really celebrated, is it?

Yesterday I went to Paulista Avenue to make a video about Christmas with my friends and the answers were about, gifts, love, Jesus, indifference, hatred and so on. But, I was thinking, were all that answers true? Weren't those only automatic answers?
I hope I'm wrong, because I do agree to some of the answers that mentioned Jesus, love, family meettings, all the good stuff about this time.

Anyway, Christmas can't be all about buying and consumption, can it?

STAGE UNIVERSITY: COMPLETED!!!

I feel like a character inside a video game and I just killed the monster in the end of the stage. The monster in this stage was called TCC, hahaha...

Well, after 6 years, 2 of uni + 2 of break + 2 of uni again, I finished my graduation. Now I'm a professional in Social Communication with emphasis in Advertising.
It was such a relief when I got my final grade, which is not worthy to say, haha... it was that bad.
Anyway, have a lot to thank and be grateful.

These fellas above were my classmates during my first two year. When I got back from Australia, they were all finishing uni.

And when I came back I found these guys above. We got an award on Metofashion but unfortunatelly, we walked to different ways. I am grateful for their lives as well.

Sooo, uni was a very good time of knowledge, now I have another goals to reach and seek my professional career.

I'm available on the market! haha... (that means that I'm unemployed)

Actually my situation is not that bad, I've been doing some job interviews and I hope that something will come up soon!!!

Thanks everyone who helped me during this stage. Thank Dad and Mom who could afford that for me and thanks God who sustains me everyday!

ONE WEEK TO GO!!!!

Handed in my final work at uni last Friday! It was suuuuuuch a relief. I thought I wouldn't make it and had totally lost heart about that. But I don't know, suddenly things just started to work out, I started to type some pages, my gf helped me out, people answered my emails and so on. The thing is I had given up, but some how God didn't want me to fail and I am sooo glad for that.
I still have the final presentation to do, but I know for sure that God is looking after me right now and always have and always will be!!! Isn't that crazy? I know, but God IS crazy, we can not understand Him. Okayyy!! Such a Godddyyy post, but that's what I've been through.

In the middle of all this mess I went to a youth camp of my church, check out this video made by my mate Tilts:

The text above is such a powerful prayer written by a monk called Thomas Merton, he was sooo wise, his texts are really amazing.

It's Friday already, but my week is being sooooo not good. But it's fine, God is good and gave me this prayer to cheer me up and remember me that He is with me and for me!

Sooo, weekend is coming, let's see what God has prepared for me!!!

Ahhhh...not only for me, but for Brazil as well, we'll find out the new president!!! Dilma or Serra? Serra or Dilma? Ohh my God!!!

Unusual poetry!!!

Hello,

I've been quite busy lately and this is gonna continue till the end of this year, but I will try to update this blog at least once a week. This week I'd like to share about share about poetry.
Can you believe? haha.... not really. It's just a suggestion for a good program. There is a museum in Sao Paulo, Museu da Língua Portuguesa, it a nice and cosy place to drop by and get some culture.

I went there with my mates and it was a very good program. We had fun and learned a bit about the portuguese language and Fernando Pessoa. It's very interactive and there is a surprise at the end. So, if you have nothing to do someday, go to this museum.

It was sooo interesting that the museum really inspires us. My friend Murilo, inspired by the museum environment, simply started to recite one of the deepest poems I've ever heard, check out his verses: (ahhh, it's gonna be in portuguese because I think no one is able to translate his words in its full.)

KIDS DAY!!!!

It was the Kids day in Brazil yesterday!!!
Sooo good to be a kid, isnt'it? No grown ups problems to sort out. The kids problems/doubts are:

- what game am I going to play?
- what will it be the next toy at Mc Donald?
- what movie will my dad take me to watch next weekend?
- and so on...

very nice that's the kind of problems I miss!! hehe.. but that's okay, life is a short and that time won't come back.

To honor the children I will post three little movies about two camps I went!!

Brazil is funnier than ever! + Youth Camp Ad!

Hello!!!
It's been a time, but I've not died!
But a lot of people would like to and are very upset with the election in Brazil.
As I said in the title, Brazil is funnier than ever, because we've just elected a clown called Tiririca to the our congressman!!! Funny, isn't it? We had soccer players and celebrities as well. OHHH MY GOSH!!! My hope is in the clown's slogan that say that it can't get worst. It is probably inpossible, but no one must ever doubt a Brazilian ability!!! haha...
Well, I reckon that was the lesser of two evils. At least the president has not been choosen yet. I think Brazil has a chance to rethink about this important choice.
God be with us! haha...

CRAZY DAY!!! + BOLO MIO!!!

Eleven past two right now!!! Just got back from soccer!!! Today (yesterday) was crazy. The subway stopped in the morning and whole packed in the arvo. I was watching the news and digging my Ruffles when I saw snow on TV and it was in Guarulhos, just around the corner! I was thinking, OH MY GOD!!! the end is coming soon!!! That's some food for thought !
Afterwards, I hear that Dorival Jr was dismissed because he didn't want to let Neymar plays tomorrow. How crazy is that? Twitter is not taking easy at Neymar. He's been bombarded with soooo many jokes. Funny jokes by the way!!! I spent from 1am till now, just looking at those jokes.
Anyway, it's bedtime. But after all this crazyness. I will show something funny. That's a video about a guy who wanted to make a cake. His mother wasn't at home and..... take a look and see by yourself!!! BOLO MIO!!!

hello!!! or oiii!!
Here I am, back in Brazil! this is the third week here since I arrived. I've met a lot of friends and family in the meantime, but there are still people that I want to see and that I miss.

Those guys on the photo came home in my first day back. hehe... good to see them all.

So, it was weird to be back after nearly a year away. I went out for a walk and I heard everyone speaking in portuguese. I quite miss to speak in English, though it is good to figure out what people say so easily.

After this year away I reckon I grew a lot and I hope I can use this experience now. I thought a lot about the future (now). So, I'm back to uni, this semester is considered the hardest of the whole course, but that's is all right. It's been a bit hard to break the ice, because I'm a newbee in this new class. Hopefully things will get better as long as the time goes.

This weekend is carnival and I'm going to a camp! Really looking forward that! It's gonna be great!

So, I don't really know who will keep reading this blog, but I think I will keep writing some stuff here! hehe....

Hey guys!!!
As you can see, I'm rocking up soon.
So, here it goes my schedule. Tomorrow I'm going to Bathurst to my mate's wedding, coming back to church on Sunday night, last service at Barneys by the way. Monday is a public holiday, it's the Australian Day. I might have a BBQ and check out the harbor, people say everyone who own a boat go to the harbor. At night I'm going a friend's house for dinner and say good bye to some friends. There are another mates that are leaving as well. Jun, the other brazilian and Mark, the korean guy. Then, on Tuesday, I might go shopping a bit, packing up and cleaning my room and we'll have a farewell at night. This is pretty much my last days in Australia. After here I'm going to South Africa for five days and then, back to Brazil!!!

Yeahh, time flies and it's time to go back! Such a nice time here. I'm thankfull with all things that happened here and I'll surely miss this place and people. This is sad, but on the other hand, I'm happy for go back and catch up with family and friends!

Hello people,

So, last few days I was in Melbourne, the second biggest city here. We did a lot of things and had heaps of fun. We went to the Great Ocean Road, where we could see the "Twelve Apostles", which are only 8 actually, 4 of them have fallen apart.

There they are! Beautiful creation of our God, such an awesome place!
We went to the Australia Open on the day after and looked around the city during the other days.

Yeahh, heaps of fun! However, I've felt kind a homesick lately, I don't really know why, but I think it is because my departing is getting close and I do miss home! Can't wait to be back!

I will try to cheer me up! hehe... and write more exciting things! hehe...

What a start up!!

Hello people!
things are really good here, I went to a kid's camp at the beach on the first week of the year. Such a good time, it was just good to be there and play around with the kids! I got a really bad sore back on the second and third day, but it got better.

This was my room! Me and Ben, wearing a hat, were the leaders. They boys were all ten years old. From the left to the right: Lachlan, Ben, Jake, Michael and Ricky. They were very active kids and way naughty, but I really enjoyed to be with them despite that they disobeyed all the time, haha... We had a nice time. Our group was the Magnifiers! hehe... Afterwards I'll make a video about the camp.

Nowadays I'm just hanging out with some new friends I've made.

These are Erica and Mark, they are two of my new friends. Since most of my mates have gone back their homes! haha... I met them through Jun. We've been to a korean church and hang out with some koreans as well.

Well, I'vo got a 21st birthday party on Friday and we are heading to Melbourne on Saturday till the 20 and then Myles' wedding in the 24th. Party time!!! hehe...

I made another video about a bit of my like in Sydney. We had a weekend away with my mates from terraces! check it out!

Hello! HAPPY 2009!! HAHA... the year started with such a nice view of the fireworks at the sydney harbor! we went there about 1pm and stayed there till midnight! we had lot of fun playing some games and chatting with each other. ahhh, there was quite a bunch if people there with me, brazilians, chinese and aussies! really cool!
now a time to remember about 2008 and be very grateful!
so I made this video about my time in brisbane! So many friends there as well!

Such a good time, and good to remember! haha... I knew a lot of asian people there! haha.. and my english improved quite a bit there as I was studying only english! hehe...

WHAT A YEAR!!!

Hey people!!! such an amazing year, wasn't it? so many stories, so many blessings, so many cultures, so many new friends and so on! heaps of new things. This time overseas has really opened my mind to the world. After a while overseas I've learnt so much and grown as well. Really life-changing.

This photo was during my road trip with my mates, there we were in Byron Bay, such a beautiful town. That is the light house there, awesome view from there.

I'm still reflecting about 2008, but I'm so grateful for all that happened. God's been so good to me!

Today we are going to the Sydney Harbor to watch the famous fireworks here! hehe... we are going soon, about lunch time and stay there till the midnight! it's gonna be a long day!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
This year was different to be away from family at this time of the year. Really missed you Dad, Mom, Jack... hehe... however we had a quite brazilian celebration. we went to celebrate with some friends from the Advestist Church. So, we could have some brazilian food, awesome by the way, really yummy!

As you can see above, there were some asian faces. We invite two koream mates to join us, they liked despite we had spoken a lot in portuguese. And I got a book when we exchange gifts during the secret santa (amigo secreto), I didn't really want a book now, but it might be a good reading! haha... this was in the christmas eve.

In the Christmas day in itself, we went to church. it was actually the first time ever I attended church at the christmas day. but I found all right! we had a nice service. Then we had a lunch with some friends and we went to the beach!! first time I went to the beach at christmas day as well! hehe...

Now, the new year is coming and I'll be at the harbour to watch the fireworks. putting a lot of expectation on it! haha.... it's gonna be great!

Ahhhh, nice news. I'm going to a mission in early january, from 2rd to 10th. We are going up to the central coast and take some kids to a camping at the beach. my friend invited me to join them. so it's gonna be like a kids camping. and I'm so grateful for this opportunity, God knows how I missed the EBF this year and I think he decided to give me this! hehe...
So, be praying for this. I think it's gonna be fine.

Hello everyone!!! I'm back after two weeks on the road! It really was an amazing time. We visit my mates' families, the church I attended in Brisbane, had heaps of fun, time to pray and worship, beaching almost everyday, beautiful places, awesome food. We are very thankful for all things God provided during the trip, the days were getting better and better. Anyway, I think you won't understand if I say the name of the places, so I'll let to explain when I go back. all right?

The thing is, it was much more than I could imagine.

That's me and Jimmy, we got the little car, only two seats. haha...
As it was only two of us, I couldn't have a nap. hehe...

Now I'm back to Sydney. Christmas is coming soon and so is my homesickness! hehe... I think I will spend with some friends. But nothing like family.

Well, now let's enjoy the Christmas time and new year! hehe...

Summer is on!!! OH yeahh!!!

Hey guys!!!
Summer is on at last! So is holidays!! hehe... Time to go for a trip, UHUULLL!!! Tomorrow we'll start off our road trip. Heading to north tomorrow, I'm not gonna tell you the cities couse won't make any difference, I'll tell you when I go back and show the shots. So, I'm really excited about that, it's gonna be awesome! But I'll tell you how it went afterwards.

So, as you can see below, I went to a real football game last Friday, the game was Sydney F.C. x Queensland Roar, the score was 1x1 and the match in itself wasn't that good. That made me remember when I went to Morumbi to see my tricolor!!! By the way, we are about to win our 6th title and 3rd in a roll! haha...

That was quite nice, ahhh... the match was at the Aussie Stadium, the second biggest in Sydney, I think.

Today, a brazilian mate rocked up. Some of you might know him. His name is Jun, he went to IMel Saude a few times and he was a member of ABU. Anyway, he was in Perth since March and came down here to spend the summer. We did some tour today around the city and went to Hillsong at night.

So, I gotta go now! Some stuff to organize and hit the road!!! hehe....
I think it will take at least two weeks for the next post! So, see you then... hopefully I'll have lots of good stories to tell you after this trip!!

I had a dream!

Hello people!!!

A while ago, when I was living in Brisbane and taking English classes my teacher once told me she had a dream, it was a normal dream just like others, however there was a slightly difference from the other dreams she'd had. She dreamed in Portuguese, yeah, in Portuguese. As she was learning Portuguese for a while she told us that and apparently her Portuguese was very good, so she said that when we dreamed in English our English would be all right. And just a few nights ago I had this dream. It wasn't a dream that I dreamed in English, but a real dream. So, I suppose my English is not so bad now. Haha... I can't really remember the whole dream, only the English words, hehe...
This shot was taken by my roomie, we went up to my roof. We are not really allowed to go there, but everyone goes because this nice view. So I had to check it out.

Thing here are all right, this week more people are leaving to go to their homes, my house is pretty empty now, so we have to hang out with people from other houses. I've been to a gym lately, only because we got ten days free of charge, watched the new James Bond movie...

Ahhh... we planned our road trip already, we are going up the east coast and stopping in my friends' relatives and friends. Maybe we'll stay at the church I attended in Brisbane when we get there. yeahh, the route is done now, next week we are hitting the road!!!

Unfortunatelly no work this week so far, I've called my agency, but nothing yet. Hopefully they will have something tomorrow.

Holidays, farewells, end of the year...

Hello people who have read about my journey in Australia. The year is coming to the end and so is the holidays. yeah, everyone is pretty much on holidays now, but I still have classes. So, some of my mates here have gone back to their hometown, but hopefully I'll meet them once more before I head back to Brazil! hehe... Talking about Brazil, what a game our soccer team played this week, we smashed those portuguese! hehehe... good stuff.

Last weekend, there was a big market along my street. It's called Glebe Fair Street, kind a market on the street, very alternative. Very famous over here, it was really a privilege and it was just in front of our house.

That's me, looking like a tourist, haha... My house is just a few meter behind me on the left hand side. This was a massive market. It went over the hill you can see behind me and there was more in front of me. A lot of walking this day...

...but as it was just in front of our house we put our couch in our varanda and sat down there to hang out together. Nice day, everyone from my house was there.

The weekend was all right, I worked for long 9 hours at the racecourse, this time as a waiter. Church on Sunday. One of the pastor is leaving the church to teach in a missionary college here, so it was his farewell last service.

Have you heard about a movie called "Australia"? They release this movie here last Tuesday, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman are in the cast, they are both australian, I'm not sure what the movie is about yet, but I'll find out next week. hehe... So there was a premiere openning for the movie and all stars showed up.

Then we went up the cinema to check out the stars. This photo above was taken by Jess, who was over Sanchez's shoulders (this guy just in front of me). She couldn't take a shot from any of the stars but me and Beck, haha... we waited for a long time, but we couldn't see anyone. That was a shame. After that we saw them in the news, they were all there. Afterwards we had a bbq at the girls house but we ran out of gas, so I make my steak in the oven.

Yesterday I worked at the Chinese Consulate. The place looks like a prison, but that was okay. Easy shift, only 5 hours and after we finished, they let us eat whatever we wanted and we also could take something home.

And the week is not over yet. I'm not gonna work this weekend, but we have a clean up at home, as everyone is leaving we have to clean the house for the summer residents. I'll be here by the time so let's clean it up! hehe...

Rest in peace Grandma

I just received the message that my dear grandma passed away. She was the only one alive between my grandparents. I can't tell you how I'm feeling right now, because I think I haven't realised this loss totally.

However it's hard to go through this moments far away. I can't really feel what's going on.
I'm glad I could see and talk to her through the webcam at least, before she goes.
I'd like to have thanked her for all she did for me and my family and said sorry for all naughtiness. I don't know how it's gonna be when I go back, but it's gonna be weirdo to be at home and don't hear her knocking our door during the week and coming over on the weekends.

May God give peace and strength to our family to bear this loss.

#82 Trivia Night

Hello peeps!!

So, as I told before we had the monthly event organised by my house, we did a trivia night, kind of quizz. We make up some sections and I did questions about Brazil. It was very good, a lot of knowledge! haha... Ahh, good food as well. I made this awesome brazilizn carrot cake, they put some nuts in the carrot cake here and it is brown. I reckon it was good, not as good as my mom's cake, but eatable. We had a good night together.

We are in the middle of november. You know, I was thinking of staying one year more. That's is the thing I was chewing over. However now I've cleared my mind and I'm going back. I've talked with my family, some friends, heard about what's going on over there. Remembering all that stuff made me miss our land a lot. Despite that would be a good opportunity to grow if I stayed one year more. Anyway, now I'm kind a mix of feelings like longing to go back and enjoying the last moments here with my mates. Most of them are leaving by the end of this month since they finish their final exams.
I'm really happy for what has happened, I think I've learnt and grew heaps here.

Job? Yeahh... I'm still doing some shifts for my agency, this Saturday I'm going to go to another Jockey.

Waiter? I'm a barman!

Hi everyone!

So, as I had said I started working in hospitality now. I had a training for a waiter, but my first shift was as a barman. Crazyyy!!! There is a horse race here called Melbourne Cup, it is like World Cup here, everyone stops to watch this three minutes race. I worked at a big racecourse, a bunch of people went over there only to gamble and watch the race on the screen. Anyway, about the job, it was quite hard to get the orders, because sometimes they asked a drink that I didn't know what it was, so I asked to my mate a lot of times and it was busy busyy!!! After a while I started to get the names and how to do. In the end I had broken only one bottle of Heineken and made some mistakes with the drinks. It was fine, this Sunday I'll be working at the Acer Arena, it should be the same thing, there should be happening a concert over there, not sure yet.
So, I think I'll keep working with them depite the fact that it's not very regular, but it's better than nothing, hehe...

Last Friday we also had a Masquariedy Party, it wasn't so chic as at Saude, but it was fun.

We had some performances, plays and guess what, Peter Parker showed up there! haha...
We played a improvisation game, like you have to act and improvise according to the theme. It is not really easy when we played in Brazil, now imagine in English. It was embarassed!

Yesterday, it was my roomie birthday!We had something different to celebrate, we had a Happy Breakky Birthday! We just went to have a breakfast together at "Well connected" as you can see above!! haha... good way to start a day!

So, many thing happening now, everyone is doing exams, some of them have finished. It's pretty much all done, but I still have some weeks at my College.

Ahhhh, tomorrow night (Friday) is our monthly event, so we will have a trivia night. But I'll leave to post about this next week, after the event.

Some thoughts: when I was working this week, I saw lots of rich people spending their money gambling and drinking. I don't know their lives to judge, but after my shift on my way to the bus stop I saw people totally drunk on the street. That was sad, because although they were happy when they were drinking, that was just a temporary happiness. I'd say worthless and meaningless compared to the eternal life Jesus has given us. And this is surely a eternal happiness as well.

King or not? haha...

Hello everyone!

So, as you know we had our formal party last Friday. It was very good, just like a wedding or a graduation party. They call pron, do you know those party we see in the North American movies? Then they have the king and the queen and you have to invite someone to go with. That was it, but we didn't need to invite anyone, because we were all invited already.

Ahhh, we needed to dress up for the occasion, haha... those are mates from my house. Chic boys! It's only missing Ash.

As I said we had that King and Queen thing, so everyone voted to one king and one queen. And guess what? Me and my mate Howard were elected Kings, hahaha... that was funny, and Hillary was the Queen.

The night was only beggining, after the party we went to the top floor from the Shopping Mall close to our house to hang out a bit. That is the view we have from there.

Then some of us decided to go to the Pancakes on the Rocks, it is a place who sells nice pancakes. But the place is close to the Opera House. We decided to go walking, a very long walking, so we walked from 2am to 4pm to get there, of course we had some stops in the middle.
After the pancakes was like 5:30, then we went to Opera House to watch the sunrise.

Everyone was a bit tired as you can see on the photo above! haha... I'm gonna post more photos on my orkut if you wanna see more or I can show you when I go back! haha...

Then the sun was rising, it wasn't so wonderful because there were so many clouds. So, it was a long and enjoyable night.

Also last week we had gone to the World Passion Tour, such an amazing time, worshipping, praising and praying. It was a privilege to be there. Just encourage me to take the gospel to my friends.

So, that is it. Some thoughts?
Well, there are still three months to go and this has made me think about the future. I don't really know, but let's see what happens! hehehe...

I have to chew over a bit more my thoughts about this. Then I'll tell you guys!!

Waiter or not?

Hello everyone!
Today I worked as a waiter helping in a kind of formal party, it was voluntary, but it was good to see how it works. So, I will have a training at the hospitality agency tomorrow and another next week, then I will start to work for them in some events here. That is gonna be a nice experience. The labor thing seems to be hard now, I've called the labor hire, but he hasn't had jobs lately. So, I'm trusting in God and is in his hands whether I work as a waiter or a labor or anything else.

I will tell you somethings that has happened over here. One of my mates here studies radio and media comunication. He works at a radio station as a speaker, so he can put and dedicate songs for people. Last Friday he played a brazilian tune from "O Rappa" titled "Eu quero ver Gol!", hehe... that was good!

We just went to our backyard, turned on the radio and enjoyed his show. It's called "Time with Tim". Good time!

Last week I drove for the very first time here, my friend got a bad knee, so I helped him to go to our school to enroll.

That was pretty scary in the beginning, the wheel is on the right side and the way is all inverse, haha... but after a while you can manage to get along with.

Also last week we had another monthly event, it was a Carnivale! haha... everyone got a costume and went to 66. It was very good! Some plays, food, dance and so on...

That is Hilary, as you can see, she was really into the thing.

Saturday was shop day! We went shopping cause we have a formal party from our house this Friday, so everyone is gonna dress up to go there!
We went with some girls and as every girl, they took so long to choose. haha...

So, that was my week.
Tomorrow, I'm going to the "World Passion" after my training, it's gonna be great!
On Friday we have the formal party! hehe... it's kind of a graduation party. Food, dance, everyone chic... haha...

One thing we heard last service was the we are all servants of God, so we belong to him and all things we have, He has given to us, it's not ours. And if sometimes we get sad or angry when we lose something, that we may remember that we just give things back to God. Thing or even people that are in fact His, not ours.

This means "I love China." There are two Chinese guys living here and one of them, Howard, is doing his PhD in Economics. He is only 21, haha... Last week we had his master's graduation at University of Sydney. Quite nice to go there and celebrate this moment.

That's Howard, very wise guy. So, after the ceremony we went to a Chinese restaurant with his parents. We had some Chinese food, very spicy food! haha... my mouth was on fire, we had to ask for a jug of water to keep eating. That was nice moments, his parents shouted us there.

Last weekend there was a great service at the church, we gathered the three services, the morning and the two evening services. Heaps of people, about 500 I think. It was good to be with the other people from our church.

Next week the Passion World Tour will be here and it's gonna be very close to my house, so I might go. I think they were in Sao Paulo a few months ago.

So, still looking for a job. hehe... still enjoying this present.
Somethings hasn't been like I had planned, but I have nothing to complain. God's been so good to me that I only have to thank him for all he's provided.

Vegetables? NOOOOO!!!

Hello guys!

As most of you might know, I just hate vegetables, the vegetables I eat are potatoes and... fried potatoes. haha...

Okay, now everyone knows about this. So I went camping last weekend with my brothers and sister from Seventh Day Adventist Church. We started on Friday, we gathered at the church to go, it was going everything well, some troubles with baggage and lifts, but nothing very bad.

We got there in the evening, we set up the tents and the "kitchen", the place to cook.

Okay, I started to know people, talk with them. The hunger came up and it was dinner time. I asked what we would have for dinner. Then they told me what would be like a curse for me. They told me, it was a vegetarian menu. Ahhhh, I hadn't had this information before I went there. So, we have no meat from Friday to Monday. Can you believe? I'm not sure, but lots of adventist peeps are veggies. How can they survive? hehe... Anyway, I ate pasta with tomato sauce and vegetarian sausage, Bread with cheese and catchup, rice mixed with some veggies and hot dog with veggie sausage. That was the hardest time here for sure, hehe... just kidding, we had a good time. They are a portuguese church, but heaps of them were born here and learn portugues from their parents. It was very funny when they started to mix portuguese with english, even in the bible study and prayers. Very good time.

And this week, God has rewarded me already. We had a barbeque yesterday before the bible study, hehe... good to eat some meat!

Heaps of meat, by the way. Those are, Myles, Nick and Sanchez.

So, I ate heaps. And of course, we had some "farofa" that I cooked. hehe...Those are me, Jess and Kate.

I tried to make a carrot cake, but it wasn't like mom's, so I'll try again soon.

Job? What is it? hehe... Yeahh, I haven't worked for a while. Yesterday I went to a hospitality agency and they were really nice of me. They will train me and then I can work for them. However I have to wait until the end of this month to do the training. During the meantime I'll keep looking for other jobs.

Ahhh, this Sunday we will have a great service gathering everyone from the church I'm going. There are different services during the week and on Sunday. So, once a year we gather everyone! And we will have another BBQ before the service.

Spring has sprung!!!

Hello guys!!!

As you can realize, we are in the spring already. This is good, now I can wear my pair of thongs and shorts everywhere I go, hehe...

One more week here in Australia. So, we had the monthly event organized by 80's. It was a Jazz Festival, my friend here plays in a band, so they came to play some jazz.

It was a very good time, some food, people around and as you can see, we had to dress up to rock up!! hehe...very fun, the venue was our own backyard. They will probably play in my roomie's wedding.

The church I'm attending here is very similar to ours, every Saturday, we are having a kind of sports ministry, we just go to a park here and play some sports, yesterday we played Ultimate Frisbie, I didn't like much, but it was alright. And the church over here is also concerned about the environment, last week they told us to bring our own cup to church to save some plastic cups. Realy good, reacting everywhere! haha...

So, we went to the beach yesterday. But this time we tried Manly beach.

We were a bit late, the sun was setting, but we could enjoy! Those above are, Karen, Ronnie and me. Very good, and the water was better than last week.

About my job, nothing yet. I did an interview in another graphic studio last week, I hope they can reply me this week. Beyond that I'm trying waiter's jobs and so on.

I hope I can find another job soon. hehe... It's a bit boring do nothing while everyone is doing something.

What a great weekend!!!

Hi people!

I'd like to tell you about this weekend, it was such a good one!

It all started on Friday morning, we had a massive attendance in the prayer meeting, 11 people I reckon. After that we had a breakfast shouted by Myles, thanks mate!

On Saturday morning we played sports: american football, brazilian football and australian football. Such a tiring morning, but it wasn't all. In the afternoon we went to Bondi Beach.

That's Bondi, amazingly crowded! That was good to get into the water, freezing cold one by the way. I hope it gets a bit warmer soon.

Very nice beach! There is a skate park as well. But I didn't bring my skate so I couldn't show my tricks. hehe...

At night we went to a pub and then we went to a little harbor close here and we stay there, chatting, good one by the way. Maybe we'll do a road trip, that'd be great!

On Sunday, there was the Brazilian festival. We went down there and had some brazilian food like pastel, chicken heart, and acai. To drink, sugar cane juice. Yummy!!!

On the way back we walked through this park below and we decided to take a rest on the grass. We also made a pyramid, first with girls on the top...

...and after with boys!!!

At evening we went to church, it was such a good preaching. I'm still chewing over the message, but the main thing was that we have to think that we are in debt with everyone, the debt to love one another.

I haven't worked, so I'm looking for a new job. Tomorrow I'll go around to hand some resumes and see if something come up.

This Thursday we have a monthly event, it's gonna be a jazz party. Oh yeahh!

Sick!

Don't worry guys! I'm not sick. Sick has a positive meaning as well. haha.... like, great or good.

That's my house mates with santa in the last monthly event! That was sick! We won the prize! hehe...

I have good news! I bought a computer, so now I'll try to post some videos and talk with people by Skype! So, add me if you have one, if not download it! My nick is "ameixaounao", okay?

However my job is being a bit irregular, this week for instance I worked only one day and I don't know how is gonna be next week. What I can say is that I'm trusting in God and is in his hands all this stuff! And the best thing is that I know that He will take care of it!

This Sunday there will be a Brazilian Festival here, that's gonna be good, I'll go and I'll probably be back a bit fatter! hehe.... there will be all sorts of brazilian food! So, you can you imagine! hehe...

GO SMOKO BOYS!!!

Hello people!

Heaps of thing have happened lately! I feel like living the fullness here!
So, I'll tel you about how is my routine over here! Basically when I'm working I wake up about 5:45, get to work by 7 and finish about 3. Monday and Tuesday nights I have classes, Wednesday nights is a bible study, Thurday is free to hang out and Friday we have connect, the student group at the church. As I said before, once a week we have a house dinner, where everyone or everyone that can show up, have dinner together and every week one of us has to cook. So, before last week was my turn to cook.

So, I cooked some rice, beans, potato, chicken and farofa!!! Looks good, isn't it? hehe... It was eatable.
There we are! it's missing Myles, Timmy and Jimmie, but we kept something for them.

OKay, last Monday we had the monthly event organized by girls in 64. It was kind of Christmas out of season or whatever! Very fun, each house had to organise a presentation and the best would win a prize!

Guess who won?! our house! hehe...Smoko boys! I don't really know what smoko means, but we sang a music with this in the middle! So, we got the prize that is a desert someday that I don't know yet!

Besides all these activities, sometime we just go out to hang out together in a pub or park.

We had the engagement party this Saturday. It was very good! It's a shame a forgot my camera, so no photos of that event! hehe... and I also lost some photos because my usb died. that was crap. But, that's okay! Nothing to complain.

We are having a chinese festival soon, in about one hour here, and next week there will be a brazilian festival here. So I can eat all brazilian food I miss! hehe...

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

I'm not crazy. Here they celebrate the father's day on the first Sunday of September, which this very year is also the Indepency Day of Brazil! hehe...whatever...

So, I'd like to wish a happy father's day for the dads and thank my Dad for being such a good Dad! hehe... okay Dad?!

Okay, let's go to the news! Fortunatelly or unfortunatelly I've gotten my job back and I'm going to work tomorrow. I haven't told you what time I work, have I? I work from 7am to 3pm.
So, I wake up 5:30 to get there on time depending on the place! hehe...

I could relax a lot this week, so I did some readings, assignements and went out a bit.

One place I went was the Doulos, it is a ship that goes around the world bringing the gospel. That was really exciting. As they told us, it is like a dream. I've heard a lot about mission here and I heard a lot before left Brazil. That has made me think about how we should spend our lives here.
Anyway, it was a very good time, there are people from more than 50 countries on board. It must be a awesome experience be on board this ship!

Back to the unemployment!

Hello guys! Here I am again! hehe...

Some good news and others not so good. The good news is that I'm health and doing very well. My school is not so good, but I'm enjoyng there. I have two teachers, one korean and other indian. There are people from everywhere in my class and heaps of brazilian.

Let's go to the not so good news. Since I got over I haven't worked, hehe... yeah, I kind of lost the job. However my boss called me yesterday and told me that we might work after next week again. So, it's being good to have a break but sometimes I get bored because there is nothing to do, hehe... anyway, I'm not complaining, I'm very grateful actually for all thing that have happened.

This week we went to a christian event here, I heard 10.000 people went there to see one guy. haha... his name is Mark Driscoll and he is a pastor in Seattle. It was very good, the theme was "Burn your plastic Jesus", basically he said about the Jesus people make up and what is the real Jesus. Lots of thing to chew over after that.

Yesterday (Saturday) we had a birthday party, we went to a park close to our house. Ahhh, it was Ruth's birthday, she was born here, but she has lived in Nigeria and now she is studying nursery here. It was very good and a different experience. We all went to this park and we played ball and had some food. Here they don't clap during the birthday song, can you imagine? Anyway, each one has your own culture.

okay? that's it. I'd like to thank you guys for your prayers and say that I miss you guys a lot. Family, friends, hoem, food and so on! haha...

Half way done!

Hello everyone! I'm really sorry for my absense, but everything has a explanation! hehe... First of all! I'VE GOT A JOB!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! HEHE... Thanks guys for all prayers, I'm working in a construction site as a labour, known as "peao de obra" in Brazil, haha... it's a very hard job, but it's free gym during the job and quite funny! I'm mixing the cement, sand and water to make the concrete and after that we have to put the tiles, I've worked 2 weeks so far. And then I got sick last week, so I didnt work last week. It's very bad to get sick away from family, nobody is there to give you the medicine at the right time and spoil you. I reckon it was the worst and hardest experience so far. I missed a lot when I was spoilt by my mum, hehe...

Now it's gone and I'm waiting my boss calling, hopefully we might get back tomorrow. Meanwhile I'm enjoying this freetime! I went to a ReJesus festival, it is a kind of "Oficina 21", but it's for 2 whole weeks, pretty good to feel the unyversity environment here, very nice!

So, back to the past a few weeks ago, I went to Blue Mountains when my friends from Brisbane came here, that was fun, freezing cold, but still good!

That are the Three Sisters, pretty amazing view. We rode a cable car "bondinho", very high!! hehe...

I think in the other Friday, we went to a Rugby game! Freezing cold again! We watched the two best team, fighting for the top of the table!

That are us in the bus, coming back from the game! From the left, Myles (my roomie), James, Tim, Phill and me. Ahhhh, this day was the first day if the Olimpic, after that we went back to watch the Oppening Ceremony.

I reckon one week before this, we had the weekend away! It was a kind of a camp! We went down to the South Coast, to a place called Gerringong! Good to remember the camps I've been in Brazil. And just nice to be with a bunch of people and have fun.

That's a dance party, it was all dark actually. It was good the shake our body! hahaha...

Gerringong beach! Very nice beach and I guess even nicer in the summer!!! hehe...

So, back a little to the present, we are having prayer meeting every week now, at 7 am, not hard for me, because I wake up 5:30 to go to work. I've gone when I don't work. So, last Friday I joined the prayer meeting and after that we had a "pool time".

And that's us, in a pool close to our house! I don't know how they can do that, but the water was very cold. I just swam like 3 laps and got out of there! After that I was shivering and then I got sick, hehe... it's been one week since then, I'm all recovered and 100% ready to get back to work.

But this week off was good, because I could see a lot of the Olimpics and rest.

That's it guys, now you are all up dated! hehe... I hope I can keep you informed about my journey here more often.

One last thing I've been thinking a lot, yeah, now is the spiritual time! hahaha... I went to that ReJesus thing here and that day one guy from the World Vision was talking, and he said the biggest sin in Australia is hypocrisy. I'm not Australian, but that has made me think about my life and attitudes. Sometimes what we say is totally contrary what we do, isn't it? For me God is being so good and I've felt so close to Him, and eventhough all this awesome experience I feel like being hypocrite about my believes, my actions and so on. Not all but some parts and that is not what God wants from us, He doesn't want just a bit of my life, after all, Jesus didn't give just a bit of Him in the cross. This is being a trully struggle from me.

So, just keep praying guys for my issues and my job as well, because if I do well in my job I'll have more job afterwards! hehe...

Too good to be true!

Hello guys!
It's been a long time since my last post, hasn't it?

Last week was very good! Thousands of people came to Australia for the World Youth Day 2008. The Pope came, lots of different nations, the whole city seemed a big party. And I couldn't be out of it! After all, I haven't got a job yet! hehe... So, as you know I joined the Brazilian soccer team and we were doing well until the quarter-final, we lost to Austria! hehe... it's true, Austria and the champions were the Croatians, they were like 2 meters high, haha... It was very similar to when I played in the Church Tournament. We had fun, we played hard, we did well in the beginning, but in the end we lost! hehe... Anyway, we had fun and we could enjoy it!

The Brazilian group! I know that was not very good for my English this day, but it was very good for me! hehe... We took this pic after the game against New Zealand, there are some of them among us.

Still during the World Youth Day, some of my friends from Brisbane came here to make a tour throughout Sydney. James, Leo and Justin. We went to some places here and we met people from everywhere!

Here we were in Darling Harbour, there was happening a kind of concert. Some guys from Scotland were playing. After this picture we got into the crowded! haha... it was nice! I'll try to up load the video after if I can!

Yesterday, I went to a job interview, but no answer so far! Maybe I'll get in the labor job! hehe... But I have to get a kind of permission to work in it.

Ahhh, and my roomie got engaged yesterday! hehe... his name is Myles and he is 19. He got engaged and is very happy! haha... maybe they will marry in January!

I really miss our country,family and friends, and now that is July, I reminded the EBFs. Ohh, great time there, hehe... since I was 7, this year is the first time that I couldn't go! I knew already that the EBF Teen was very good and I wish lots of blessings in the EBFs kids!

Hello guys! So many things happening this week! Have you heard about the World Youth Day in Brazil?! It's being here right now in Sydney, all this week. People from every part of the planet have come here just for this event and the Pope is gonna be here as well.

About my life! No job yet, but... I saw two advertisements very close to my house and I applied there already, let's pray and wait for any answer, besides that I've left my resumes in other places and in a recruitment agency! Hopefully something will come up soon!

I went to the Oliroos (Olimpic Australian Soccer Team) game against New Zealand. They won by 3x2, good game. Very nice, we watched the game seated on the hill, no chairs or benchs! hehe...

I haven't downloaded the pics of this World Youth Day and the game, so I let you with another view of the Opera House! hehe...

This city is going crazy because this Pope stuff and the World Youth Day. So, I'm very curious, so this Tuesday I was walking around to look for a job, and I saw a bunch of people going toward the Uni near my house. I went there to have a look what was happening and guess what? I talked with a woman from New Zealand and she told was happening a Soccer Tournament between the nations that came to this World Youth Day. Then I became more interested! hehe... Getting to the tournament site, of course there were brazilian! So, I started to talk with then about this World Youth Day and these Pope thing, we had a good talk. They invited me to play in the Brazilian team and what could I do? I said yeah!!! Of course! We beat New Zealand in the first match by 3x0 and Holland in the second by the same score. Now we are in the finals, which will be happening tomorrow! hehe... All this soccer thing remind me the Futsal Cup between the Methodits Churches, which is gonna happen soon.

So, I can say that God is being very good about the things I've missed. I mean, in my birthday He gave me a family to celebrate together, during my journey here He's put friends to cheer me up in the hardships! And even now, about this soccer thing, he gives me this delight to enjoy! This is trully amazing to realise His care! I think He really gives us what we need and not what we want! Although I also need a job! hehe... But as I've been saying, it's gonna happen!

Hey guys!!!

After my last post, it happened something crazy. I went to a graphic studio to leave my resume then I was talking with the designer if there was any job available, she said no, but she gave me a hint that she was working in another place and no one had taken the job. So, I went to this place to chec. I talked with the owner and we did some job to test me. It was good, I could do the job, but the communication was not that good, very diffcult to understand the technique terms in English. I kept there, but I've already quit. For two reasons. Firstly, my boss was a jerk, he wanted to explore me, the girl who gave me this contact warned me about this. He just gave me a list of what I had to do and went away. During this period the phone didn't stop to ring and always everybody was asking for him, anyway too much stress, I couldn't do my job properly. Secondly, I realised that this design thing is not what I want to do as a job. I mean, I like to do that, but not everyday eight hours a day. You know? Summarizing, I'm looking for a job still! hehe... I did the RSA course, which allowed me to work in bars and pubs. So, hopefully I'll get something soon.
All this stuff makes me think, my last post I said about that "All things God works for the good..." and when I kind of get the job, I thought was an answer, but not. After that I got a little upset with God, but I'm understanding what he wants to teach me. And I'm getting close to get a job, I reckon...hehe...
Okay?!

Ahhh, my friend George came here this week and we did a nice tour throughout Sydney. Opera House, Bondi Beach, Manly Beach, Ferry, Harbour Bridge and so on! I've posted some pic in my orkut and these are some of them as well!

When I was planning my trip to Australia, I wanted to come here, learn some English, get to know a different country, international friendships, get a work, save some money and travel aroung in the end.
After 4 months, these aims are going pretty much well except for a job. I haven't got a job so far. But I have get so many other things that I hadn't planned. Thinking about this I start to understand
a little about what Paul meant when he said "...in ALL things God works for the GOOD of those who LOVE Him." And I do love God, so I have nothing to worry, I trust in Him adn I know that it's gonna happen what God thinks is good for me. I'm not giving up to find a job. I'll keep looking for, but aware of God's power.

It's being such a spiritual post so far, isn't it? hehe...

Let's talk about my new life down here! So, I'm living in a house with ozzy students. There are six house from the church called Barneys.

The church is very nice, lots of youth and is quite similar from "IMeL Saude". So, it's been cool, we go out together just to hang out and have some fun. Once a week, we have a dinner everybody together and one of us has to cook, so I'll have to cook in each 8 weeks!
Now most of them are on holiday, and some of them went back to their home. It's pretty empty now. But hopefully when the classes are back the is gonna be full again!

June 21st!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!

Hello everyone!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! HEHE...
I thought this would be the worst birthday ever and actually it was. hahaha....just kidding!
Actually it was better than I expect, it was a little lonely, but it's okay. My parents couldn't call me because I put the wrong telephone number in my blog!

So, what I did! I went to the Olimpic Park where happened the Olimpic Games in 2000 here in Sydney, the place is pretty good. Huge stadiums and great views. Very nice walking. But when I was walking back home it was freezing cold and I kind of got lost. Then I met a chinese guy who is a cooker at the stadium, he was also lost. We started to find out how to get th right way. After a reasonable walk we found his car. He offered me a lift and I accepted of course. We had been walking for a few minutes and as I said it was vey cold. He was very kind and drove me to Mark's house.

We had dinner and after dinner I had a surprise from Mark's family! Colored birthday muffins!!!! hehe... Very nice! hehehe...
Ahhh, I haven't presented them. There they are.

I feel like they are angels that God sent to help me here in Sydney! Nice family! I wish all the best for them! And Little Camila is so cute. hehe...

But it's not all! I've received God's present!
Today we attended to Mark and Malvina's church and guess what? I might got a place to live! Tomorrow I'll be visiting the place to have a look!

Hello everybody!!!

I’m in Sydney already. But let’s start from when I was in Brisbane.

It was quite sad to say good bye be to people that I started to like. On Sunday the pastor prayed for me and gave me an Evangecube, when I’m back I can show you. It was good, I felt really blessed for have met that church. So, on Monday we had a kind of farewell party with my schoolmates, I wasn’t really in the mood, but we did and it was great to meet then for the last time. We had much fun and a lot food also.

Well, on Tuesday, I woke up very early to say good bye to my roomies and also because the pastor would pick me up 7:30. He gave me a lift to the train station and my friend James helped me to carry my luggage, which was not few.

Since I left Brisbane, I’ve met some interesting people. In the airplane I sat next to five guys, who are part of the Australian Olimpic Soccer Team, one was the captain, called Dave and the other was the left midfield called Markson. Obviously, I took a photo with them, otherwise you wouldn’t believe me, would you? The guys in the photo is Markson, the left midfielder, he plays for Queensland Roar here.

On Wednesday, I went to the city by a two floors train, very good idea for Sao Paulo. Sincerely, my first impression from Sydney, it was not that good, the city is very crowded and a little dirty compared with Brisbane. I don’t know if it’s me or the air here is quite polluted. So, I went to my new school and my agency here, nothing special about them. My school looks good and in the they gave me some advises to get a job and a place. Now, I have to find a place to live and of course a job. Hopefully I’ll get them soon. As I said before I've met some internting people here and yesterday when I was going back I was a little lost to find the bus. Then one guy was at the bus stop, he helped me to find the bus. We started to talk, he asked me where I wer e going and so on. Then he told me, he was going to the prison, that he worked at the day and went back to sleep in the prison. I have nothing against this people, but indeed, it was a quite unusual situation. I asked why he was in jail and he told me because fraude. We talked further for a few minutes and I got off the bus.

Ahhh, I was forgetting, I’m living with Mark’s family for a few day. They are being very kind with me. After I will send a photo with them and I can tell who is who.

Okay, I hope things get better here!

Finally VICTORY!!!

Hey guys!

I mentioned before that I was playing in the fifth division here, didn't I?

So, now I can post a photo of the team because we finally won a game! hahaha...

We beat the other team by 6-2, unfortunatelly I didn't scored but I give two assistants and suffered a penalty.

From the left to the right: Chester, Cam, Jordan, Captain Jason, Junior (me), Charles, Luke, James, Darren, Nick and Adrien. We had anothers players but they didn't come on this glorious day! haha...

Other thing that I forgot to mention, I found "farofa" here, very expensive guys!

I'm finally graduated in my school!! hehe...

And as I said before, I'm heading to Sydney tomorrow (Tuesday).

Perhaps today, we are gonna have a kind of farewell.

It's sad to say good bye to people here and look the time running so fast, but I realised one thing. The faster the time runs here, the faster I will go back and meet you guys!!!

The experience is really amazing, but I do not feel at home here. I think one year away is more than enough!

So, next post is gonna be from Sydney! okay!!

How are you guys?

This photo, we were in the top of a mount near here, the view from there is wonderfull!

So, things has changed here. My roomie went back last week, the colombian guy who lives with us also is leaving this Saturday and one guy already came to replace. I haven't met him very often, but he is here for about 2 months, like me. And I'm finishing my course here in Brisbane by the next week, so this first stage is always complete! hehe...

I'm trying to enjoy and take an advantage in this time here. It's been pretty good so far, but i reckon it could be better if I hadn't live with brazillians. So, my first goal when I turn up to Sydney will be find a international share house and a job! hehehe...

I'm very glad for the churches I've been here, and so thanks for all greeting I've received.

I've made loads of friends and known other cultures.

The Best ETG class ever!!!

Hey guys!!!

Many thing to tell! First of all, as you can see in the title my English for Tour Guide finished last Friday. We had a very nice trip last Friday to finish the course, we were a Tour Company and we took some students to do this trip. I'll post some pics in my orkut later.

This class was very very special for all of us and for our teacher. We really enjoyed this time together and it was the last class of my teacher. Now he is running his own school.

About my job, I'm still looking for but it's being very hard to find. But I'll keep trying. I have just four weeks more here in this school, afterwars I'm gonna go to Sydney. I hope be easily to find a job there because my timetable will be better.

So, two of my friends went to Fiji last week and came just yesterday, I was looking to the photos and it is really nice there, amazing creation of God. They went to the beach where was set the movie "Blue Lagoon", it is a paradise!!!

My share mate is going back this Wednesday, I'd like to be him now! I'm missing very much our Brazil!!!

This experience here has been really amazing and I'm very gratefull for this, in spite of sometimes I got homesick. But it's okay, I know that I still have a long walking here and lots of thing will be happen!

Now I should go!

Hey guys!!!

So, I went to the United concert last Saturday! And as you can see in the title it was JUST AWESOME! Some different thing from when they came to Brazil, but the music was the same, very nice!

About the concert, it was in a big church here and we all had seats. We got there just a few minutes before its start. Very different from the long queue that we took. haha...

Now, back to the reality. I'm still looking for a job, I talked with one brazillian guy who employ some people, but no answer at the moment. Moreover, I left my resume in KFC, because there was a advertisment there and in another restaurant. Today I'm going to another agency that I saw in the city. Wish me lucky!! And pray!! hahaha...

In my house it's all okay, my sharemates are going to travel to the beach this weekend, so I'll be alone. hahaha... PARTY!!! Just kiddind, I don't know what I'll do yet. After I'll post some photos of my house! Very cool!!!

Hi people!!!
I think I don't need explain so much what I'll do this weekend! hehe...
United is coming here and I'm gonna enjoy it! hahaha...
But it was interenting how I knew this! It was Sunday, I was going back home then I looked one church near in my way, I was not thinking in go to the church again because I've already gone in the morning, but I went there only to take a look. As soon as I entered I saw one slide explaining about this concert, so I stayed for the service! Then after I talked with some people there and now I'm going with them to the show! Uhuuulll!! Very crazyyy!! I'm missing singing shouting like in campings! okay? After I will post some photos of the concert!

So, however, there is one thing that has worried me, my job. I'm here for 6 weeks and did not get a job. This week I talkes with a employeer, but he will cal me to do some tests. My hope is in it now!

Hey people!
Here I am again! Some news for you. Now I am looking hardly for my job cause I have got my work permission. I have tried in some places yet. Yesterday I tried a job in the stadium here, but I did not have succes, it was full! I also have sent some e'mails. Now I have to wait the answers.

My new class is very nice and I am enjoyng so much.

Yesterday was the first time that I went to the disco here. It was cool, here most of the clubs are free. And the aussies are really crazy and drunk! haha...

And look this pic! hehe... can you believe that? It was amazing when we looked this sky! I do not know who or why this person was doing this, but for certanily meaned so much! I had not doubts about the presence of Jesus here, but after this scene I could have such a sure of it!

Mt Cootha and some stuffs!

These are me and James, my korean friend! We lived together in homestay, but now, each one go to a different house. And James is going with me at the church! I don't know if he understands the message well, but it's okay! He is liking!

So after I'll post some photo of my new house. It's being nice living there, at least they are brazillians, but behind us, lives one english teacher and sometimes he comes to our house and sometimes we go to his house and then we can speak in English.

Now I changed my class to a ETG course - English for Tour Guide, in this course I hope improve better my conversation and listening! It's still hard to understand some people in the street or even the pastor at the church.

Many many thing are happening, what is not happening is my work permission, I had applied for it and still waiting, so I can't work yet! For while I am enjoying, this weekend I'm going to go to a youth camp with the people of my church here! I'm anxious for it!

Reaction - Reconciling with the Creation

Hey people!

Many things are happenning here! So I'm going to tell everthing little by litlle.

First of all, thank you for your prayers! I've already find a share house to live, but I've lived hard times to got it! Before this house, I had talked with another guy. However he called me yesterday and said that it'd not be possible live with then, then as soon as possible, I starded to look for another. I found and paid! Today I'm moving and the people in the house are nice too, I hope....hahaha.... After I tell more about my new house, because I'd to say another thing too.

Here we took part in the "Earth hour", did you do that there in Brazil? I don't know, because I think there, it was day. Well, this movement was made here, many many people here, the government, the main land marks, all of lights were turned off per one hour on last Saturday. I don't know, how much this action helped the earth, but I could see everybody or almost trying to help and taking part in! When I had heard about this, I remenbered of Reaction and our care for the creation of God! Here, we live so near the nature, we can see trees, animals in the lunch, birds singing in the morning.

Ahhh, while this "Earth Hour", we' ve played this game, Scrabble, this game is good to know many vocabulary. It's like a cross word, but so difficult in english!

Okay!

I had glued a phrase in my bedroom in Brazil that said:

"I can't do everthing, but I must do something."

My class!!! 4A - GEOS

This is my class here! Very interenting people, many counties and a funny teacher.
There are people from Brazil, Servia, South Korea, New Caledonia, Taiwan, Colombian and Australia. Can you imagine the classes? It's a huge mixture, so funny and it's being a nice learing with them. We laugh everyday, but study too.
I will talk about some of my friends.
There is Dragan, the servian, he looks like serious, but is a nice person. All his family is here in Brisbane, wife and kids. He is christian and we have good chats.
Elodie is a girl from New Caledonia, a smal country between Australia and New Zealand, I learned some french word with her.
Mari, who left us last week. She is japanese, then I could talk with her normally with my japanese skills. She was born in Hiroshima.
Cris is a korean guy who is a bartender in his country, but here, he is only a cleaner. He like motorcicles too! Maybe we'll rent a motorbike to go around.
Veronica was the last member who go into the class. This "chica" came from Colombia.
And Oluf, our teacher, he is radical, he have a motorbike too and practice wind surf!

Meeting in Pastor's house

Hey people!
Well, I'll tell about the meeting, it was a study bible, but as this was the first study, we only had dinner and stay talking. It was good, we ate a barbecue, but it's different of Brazil, it' was only sausage and I think they don't use fire to grill, just electrical barbacue.
We played a game, that we had to tell three stories about our life and one of them had to be a lie!
I told about my lost luggage, my ten years trainning judo and the lie, that was a true story about my friend Edutz! heuaiea...I told that when I was a child, I went with my mom to the supermarket and I stayed in a area for kids, there we drawed something and althe kids participated in a contest about the best drawing! Then I said that I won the contest and my family won a refrigerator!
So thank you Edutz for the story, I don't know if I told the true story, but an idea grown from this! ehauioheaea...
Ahhhh, only one hit the lie! haha... and there were I think about ten people, some of them came from Africa, me that come from Brazil and the aussies!!!

Hey mates!!!

This is a photo of a rugby field near my house!!!

I'm enjoying so much be here, but I confess that sometimes I'l like to be there, in Brazil. I think that is because I don't have friends here yet. I'm making some new friends here, tuesday I went to Lawrence's house, the Baptist Church's pastor, it was a good time to talk with aussies, but after I told about this meeting.

Let's tell somethings about my suburs. It is too calm, looks like a country city in Brazil. However, it is been nice live in this suburb. A little far from the city, but it's okay.

In my house, I have five host brothers, two taiwanese and one korean, that I always see and have more contact and more tow indian guys, that I almost don't see, actually I see them only one time.

Well, now I'm looking for a job and a share house because my time in the homestay is finishing and I can't pay, it's too expensive! Then I will move near the city and I will have to do my own things. But it'll be good, I only eat bread everyday at lunch. I need rice and meat!!!

Okay! I'm going now!

In the next I'm going to talk about the dinner in the pastor's house!

Hello everybody!!!
I think God is talking to me here. And I can't stay indiferent before this. For this reason, I will write or will try to write only in english.
But why? What importance does God have in this change? One fact happened yesterday at the dinner. My taiwanese host brother startes to ask me some questions about Jesus and chrinstians, but when I tried to talk about, I think my english was not enought to find the words to express what I'd want to said. That drove me sad, but I thought about and concluded that I have to study hard to improve my english quickly to make some diference here!!! And cancelling the most portuguese things that I can and using more the english I can are thing that will improve my english.
That's okay? No worries if I only write in english?
It'll be nice!!! I'll improve my english here and you'll practice yours there!

E ae galera brasileira!!!
to comecando a me acostuma aki com essa cidade, comas pessoas e tudo mais. Ma ta sendo bem diferente do eu pensava. Eu achava q is ser tudo muito facil e belo, mas num ta sendo tanto assim, as vezes bate aquela saudade, ai o bixo pega, mas blz, vamos lah!!!

E pra continua vo conta o que aconteceu no fim de semana, sabado soh viemos pra cidade e ficamos andando tem tipo um piscinao de ramos aki, mas mais sofisticado, eh da hora meo, tipo uma prainha. E domingo eu fui numa igreja q tem um baguio q chama "Korean Service" fui com o meu host brother pq ele eh koreano, mas eh catolico, achuq ele ta meio com saudade da korea e como viu q era pra koreano, mesmo nao sendo cristao ele tava afim de ir. Ai fui com ele neh, mas meo.... o baguio era tudo em koreano, conclusao, num entendi nada neh. Mas foi bom qdo teve o louvor, soh de ouvir as melodias parecidas, foi moh bom, sei la, me senti bem de ouvi e lembra das musica! haha...
e to lendo um livro q uma amiga minha do brasil me deu, haha... chama "Deus trabalha no turno da noite" sempre leio a noite neh, pra fica mais no clima, eh ta sendo moh bom, mas otro dia euconto do livro.
Dexa eu conta umas coisas menos crentes tb neh, haha... entao, aki tem muito lugar pra i meo, a praia fica a uma hora de trem e eh sussa de i, mas nem fui ainda, de passeio so andei pela cidade aki e alguns parques, eh totalmente diferente do brasil meo, pode anda a qualquer hora na rua, a galera eh receptiva, super seguro, mas me sinto no etapa az vezes, o que tem de koreano aki nao eh brincadeira, achuq eles vem em containers!
Mas eh da hora troca ideia com as pessoas de otros paises! Interessante!

Bom antes de tudo quero agradece a todo mundo q foi lah na despedida, foi muito bom rever a galera!!! Vlw mesmo!!! Vcs sao D+!!!

Vo tenta resumi um poko como foi a viagem!
Do brasil ate johannesburgo na na Africa do sul conheci tres pessoas, o kra q fiko do meu lado e era um arquiteto brasileiro q trabalha em mocambique faz mais de trinta anos e sempre vem pro brasil no carnaval e duas criancas brasileiras q estavam indo pra china pq o pai delas trabalha lah, e ja sabiam ingles tb, me deram uma baile no ingles, hhaaha…q loucura neh.
Bom chegando na Africa eu sabia q ia te muito tempo de escala lah, entao fui anda pelo aeroporto, tudo muito da hora na area de embarque moh moderno, limpo. Mas ja tinha visto tudo lah dentro e resolvi sair da area de embarque, lah fora ja era tudo mais desarrumado. Mas blz, agora ja conheco todo o aeroporto de johannesburgo, ate entrei numa “prayer room” tinha um maluco la q parecia do bola de neve meo, orando, doidera!
Uma hora eu sentei para descansar ai venho um casal do meu lado e comecei a troca uma idea com eles, eles eram da inglaterra e se eu entedi certo eles estavam na Africa pra lua de mel , +/- isso eu acho. Foi legal a conversa! Ai fui come num lugar muito bom meo, tipo out back.
Entao fui embarcar pra Sydney. E depois pra Sydney!
Nesse caminho tb conheci varias pessoas, tres familias da Africa, duas estavam se mudando para a Australia pra o pai havia conseguido um trabalho e a outra estava indo temporariamente. Um surfista e tava com a prancha, aproveitei e perguntei como q faz pra leva a prancha no aviao! E do meu lado aki no voo pra Sydney, sentaram um casal de velhinhos muito legais, soh me lembro do nome do kra q fiko do meu lado e ficamo conversando gde parted a viagem, ele se chamava Johannes. E de Sydney para Brisbane, eu vim do lado de Call, disse q sempre viaja pra Sydney a trabalho, ele foi muito gente boa, me ajudo a compra o ticket do trem!
Agora a historia comeca a fica tensa, Call ia me leva ate a estacao de trem, mas minha bagagem tava demorando, entao ele me mostrou de longe e depois foi embora, minha bagagem nao chegava, mas blz. Fui no baguio da empresa aerea e eles disseram q ia procurar e qdo achassem eles iriam entregar aki no endereco da homestay!
Ja era noite e fui de trem pra homestay, q doidera, cheguei na estacao, moh deserto meo, perguntei pra algumas pessoas q se conheciam o lugar mas ninguem sabia,entao liguei aki pra hostmom, ela tentou me explicar o caminho mas eu num tava conseguindo entender, entao ela foi me buscar.
Cheguei aki e tem mais estudanted aki tb, um korea, dois indianos e dois tailandeses.
AHHH….minha bagagem foi achada e vai chegar daki a poko.

Bom eh isso galera!!!
Ta sendo muito bom, mas de tudo isso posso tira duas conclusoes, primeira tenhu q melhora muito meu ingles, conversei com muitas pessoas na viagem e nao entendia tudo o que elas falavam ai soh concordava, okay! Yeah!! Yeah!! Hahaha…
E a segunda e muito mais importante, Deus ta cuidando de mim, mesmo perdendo a bagagem antes, isso foi bom, pq deu pra eu vim de trem tranquilo, imaginem eu de trem com a mochila e duas malona, hahaha,…vagando pelas ruas a noite!!
Deus realmente eh muito bom!!!
